Google is going to buy Hulu. Then create an interactive television experience integrated with Google+ like getglue
They are going to take on Facebook with Zenga integration and likely give the developers a better cut to profits.
They are going to then use the sharing algorithms and recommendation patterns to rank results based on what people are commenting on and sharing. If Google can pull in the social commenting to it’s taste graphs they become more accurate than Facebook’s that lack search history. Google’s taste graphs will have both your search results and social likes, wants, and desires.
The like button doesn’t work without the Facebook platform of a social network. The +1 button had no real value until a network was deployed of social connections.
They have a check-in service, payment system, local business integration, and many other useful assets to benefit from bringing social network in. They have a cell phone platform second to apple to force users to implement G+
Google lacks strong event management. They need to buy EventBrite.
This is why they were trying to buy Groupon
Other cool things they can do:
Autoarchive a hangout to YouTube: This could be used to create interviews and quick tutorials from professionals, Music Artists could do live collaboration sessions etc on G+ and then send to YouTube.
They need a SUPER Analytics Platform that brings YouTube, Google Search Data, Site Data, G+ Metrics, Adwords, Adsense, and other reach metrics all together into one main system.
Many people don’t realize how big this is. It is amazingly gigantic in how it will change industry.
Remember Yahoo. They were a big search engine till Google entered space.
